Stevenson HS Grad Charged with Intent to Deliver Heroin

A 2010 graduate of Stevenson High School now living in Deerfield has been dealing drugs and weapons for the past three months, reported the Deerfield Review.

Dmitriy Melandovich, a Deerfield resident who graduated from Stevenson High School in 2010, has been charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, reported the Deerfield Review.

A federal complaint that was unsealed Tuesday also indicated Melandovich purchased five firearms last month in Buffalo Grove. Federal agents reportedly learned of the man's alleged activities from an informant, according to the Deerfield Review.

In Nov. 2010, the Palatine Patch reported in its police blotter that Melandovich had been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after police  observed a hand-to-hand narcotics transfer occur in the parking lot of 1288 N. Rand Road.
