Ring Found in Parking Lot, 2 DUI Charges

ALCOHOL

Tadeusz K. Milkowski, 56, of the 100 block of Cardinal, Hawthorn Woods, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, illegal lane usage and failure to yield to right of way at 11:04 p.m. Sept. 16 on Half Day Road at McHenry Road.

Bret E. Fritz, 55, of the 100 block of Lincoln, Fox River Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and driving too fast for conditions at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 17 at Dundee and Weider roads.

BURGLARY

Officers responded to two reports of burglarized vehicles at 5 p.m. Sept. 17 in a parking lot on the 600 block of west Deerfield Parkway. The front passenger windows of both cars were broken and items were taken from one of the vehicles. 

FOUND PROPERTY

A citizen reported finding a silver ring at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 18 in a parking lot on the 300 block of Half Day Road. Officers will maintain the ring at the station for safekeeping.

PHONE HARASSMENT

A complainant reported receiving several harassing phone calls from a business contact at 10 a.m. Sept. 19. Officers spoke with the caller and advised him that the issues should be forwarded to their attorneys. 

OTHER INCIDENTS

A resident reported receiving calls and letters between Aug. 24 and Sept. 18 from someone she knew but that she did not want to contact her. Officers spoke with the person and explained that he should not contact the resident in the future.
