Resident Calls Police, Reports Footsteps in the Snow

ALCOHOL

Erdem Aras, 30, of the 900 block of Sterling, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and a driver’s license violation at 12:48 a.m. Jan. 4 on White Pine at Hapsfield.


Robert L. Taylor, 64, of the 400 block of Aurora, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and driving too fast for conditions at 12:46 a.m. Jan. 5 on Buffalo Grove Road at Main Street.

BURGLARY

A complainant reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and removed a GPS unit between Dec. 31 and Jan. 3 on the 300 block of Cottonwood.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident of the 100 block of Foxhill reported his mailbox was damaged by a snow plow between Jan. 6-7.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A complainant on the 600 block of Weidner reported several footsteps were made in the snow between Jan. 1-2. Officers checked the area and found the tracks went back onto the road.  

THEFT

A complainant reported an unauthorized charge on a credit card on Jan. 3.

TRESPASSING

A complainant reported seeing a tall man inside his unlocked vehicle at 2:40 a.m. Jan. 7 on the 100 block of Golfview. The complainant yelled at the man and he ran away. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.
