Probation Ordered for Man Who Duped Elderly Arlington Heights Couple

A 25-year-old Mount Prospect has been ordered to serve 24 months of probation after collecting $4,300 from an elderly Arlington Heights couple last July for shoddy  work he completed that resulted in cracks in the couple's cement only days later, according to the Daily Herald.

Rocky Reed, of the 500 block of Ida Court, entered a guilty plea to aggravated home repair fraud on Tuesday and was sentenced to probation and to pay $649 in fines, according to the article.

The newspaper reports Reed was ordered to serve 24 months of probation in August  for swindling hundreds from a Palatine senior for "unnecessary chimney repairs," and for also duping a 93-year-old Mount Prospect woman.
