Police Commander Graduates from FBI Academy

Cmdr. Michael Szos received 10 weeks of advanced training.

Buffalo Grove Police Cmdr. Michael Szos graduated March 22 from the FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, Va.

The National Academy Program, conducted at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced investigative, management and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. On average, these officers have 19 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.

Szos joined 267 other law enforcement officers completing the program at the graduation ceremony.

The 252nd Session of the National Academy consisted of men and women from 49 states. Included in the class were members of law enforcement agencies from the District of Columbia, 27 international countries, four military organizations, and five federal civilian organizations.
