Police Blotter: Wallets Lost, Hookah Used at Pool

DISTURBANCE

A complainant reported that another woman was yelling at her at 8:05 p.m. June 4 near the softball field at . An officer spoke to the complainant, who said that she came to speak with her estranged husband when she noted the other woman, who may be having a relationship with her husband. The other woman said that the complainant started yelling at her and called her vulgar names. The complainant left the area without further incident.

A resident reported that he lost his black wallet while at at 7:50 p.m. May 31. He checked and no one had turned in the wallet. Contained in the wallet were a Visa card, $80, a school identification card and a driver’s license.

A resident reported that he lost his wallet while riding his bike at 10:05 p.m. June 4 on the 300 block of Horatio Boulevard. The wallet contained eight credit cards, a Sam’s Club card, a Blockbuster card, a library card, a medical card and a motorcycle insurance card.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident of the 200 block of Navajo Trail reported June 3 that his neighbor plays loud music in his backyard and that this is an ongoing problem. An officer spoke with the neighbor, who stated that they simply were relaxing in the backyard while listening to music. She stated that the music would be off for the rest of the evening.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

While on patrol at 4:15 p.m. June 4, an officer noted that someone had spray-painted derogatory words on a concrete wall at the rear of . A work order was completed to remove the words.

A resident of the 200 block of Osage Terrace reported that he heard his car alarm activate at 4:50 p.m. June 4. When he checked, he found that the headlight lens on the driver’s side had been cracked. There was no individual or vehicle in the area.

A resident reported June 4 that her husband pushed a vehicle, which was parked behind his car, out of the driveway so that he could leave. The husband caused damage to the front of the car, which was a rental car, and stated that he would not pay for the repairs. An officer spoke with the husband, who said that he would take care of the damage.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 1200 block of Johnson Drive reported people were smoking something from a device while at the complex swimming pool at 4 p.m. June 4. An officer located the people, who stated that they were burning a cherry flavored resin in a hookah pipe. They did not have any tobacco or marijuana. They agreed to stop their activity.

A resident reported June 4 that she received a voicemail from a person who had been married to a man with whom the resident had an abusive relationship with 30 years ago. The caller stated she was concerned for the resident’s well-being because the man had mentioned the resident’s name numerous times and kept her name in his wallet. An officer discussed safety measures with the resident and placed an extra watch on the home.

An officer noticed a person standing in a driveway between two cars at 12:50 a.m. June 5 on the 1-100 block of Bernard Drive. When the officer turned around to check on the person, the person got on a bicycle and fled the area. Officers checked but were unable to locate the person. An officer checked with the resident, who stated nothing was taken from his cars.
