Police Blotter: Two Homes Burglarized, Entry Gained Through First-Floor Window

Alcohol Arrest

Tressina A. Faraci, 48, of the 100 block of Prairie Park, Wheeling, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 11 on Lake Cook near Milwaukee. Faraci was also cited for DUI over, improper lane usage and failure to use turn signal.

Criminal Damage to Property 

A man reported that his mailbox was knocked off its post Aug. 10 on the 600 block of Raintree. Police found several other damaged mailboxes in the area.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

A man reported that someone scratched the side of his vehicle sometime between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 8 while it was parked on the 1000 block of Lake Cook.

Criminal Trespass to Residence

A person reported that someone broke a window and gained entry into a home on the 1000 block of Sandhurst between Aug. 7-9. Police are investigating.

Criminal Trespass to Vehicle

A man reported that the saw someone enter his neighbor's car Aug. 9 and then walk away while it was parked on the 300 block of Navajo. Several officers and K-9 Saxon searched the area but no one was found.

Residential Burglary

A man reported that someone broke into his home Aug. 10 on the 1100 block of Bristol. Officers discovered that the burglar had entered the home through a first-floor window.

Homeowners reported that someone entered their home Aug. 10 on the 2000 block of Jordan. Police determined that the burglar gained entry to the home through a first-floor window.

Theft of Motor Vehicle Part

The owner of a vehicle reported that sometime between Aug. 7-8, someone stole a hubcap from the vehicle while it was parked in the lot on the 100 block of Villa Verde.

Traffic

Victor Rodriguez, 24, of the 100 block of Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving on a suspended drivers license Aug. 9 on Buffalo Grove near Bernard. He was also cited for speeding, not having insurance and violation of drivers license class. 

Abilene Valladares, 26, of the 1300 block of Ports O Call, Palatine, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Aug. 9 near Lake Cook and Buffalo Grove Roads. 

Francisco Arguelles, 38, of the 1200 block of Inverarry, Palatine, was charged with driving on a suspended drivers license Aug. 9 on Dundee at Arlington Heights Road. He was also cited for having a defective muffler. 

Matthew T. Pawlik, 25, of the 700 block of Big Sky, Cary, was charged with driving on a suspended drivers license Aug. 10 near Arlington Heights and Auburn. He was also cited for having expired registration and wearing headsets while driving.
