Police Blotter: Trespassing, Theft and More

ALCOHOL
Jacob D. Mau, 23, of an unspecified address on Belaire Court, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and stopping/parking where prohibited at 2:51 a.m. Feb. 3 at Crofton Lane and Dundee Road.
DISPUTE
Officers responded to a dispute between a cab driver and passenger at 3:05 a.m. Feb. 3 on the 1100 block of West Lake-Cook Road. The dispute was resolved with the officer’s assistance.

Buffalo Grove police and firefighters responded to assist with a broken water pipe that had frozen at 3:52 p.m. Feb. 3 on the 600 block of Buckthorn Terrace.
PHONE THREAT

A complainant reported Feb. 1 that he was threatened by an individual whom he recently filed suit against. The other party was contacted, and he advised that he was the one who was threatened. Both parties were instructed to have no further contact with one another.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
A resident reported that someone wrote on the windshield of her car while it was parked in Lincolnshire on Feb. 1. She was advised to file a report with the Lincolnshire Police Department.
A resident of the 900 block of Hidden Lake Drive reported that her garage door was damaged by a snow removal company between midnight and 11:45 a.m. Feb. 2.
THEFT
A resident reported that several unauthorized checks were cashed from his bank account on Jan. 29. He told police that he has his checkbook and no checks are missing. The complainant was provided with a police report number and will follow up with his bank.
TRESPASSING
Mario O. Perez, 24, of the 400 Block of Harrison, Elgin, was charged with criminal trespass to property at 1:24 p.m. Feb. 1 at Panera Bread.
