Police Blotter: Train Station Graffiti, Text Message Harassment

ALCOHOL

Paul W. Victory, 50, of the 800 block of Bendetti, Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and improper signal at 1:22 p.m. July 27 on Lake-Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue.

Jorge Herrera, 27, of the 200 block of Manchester, Wheeling, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit, driving on a suspended license, illegal lane use and violating a traffic control device at 1:35 a.m. July 28 at Buffalo Grove and Dundee roads.

Przemyslaw P. Sanetra, 26, of the 4700 block of Opal, Norridge, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid license and illegal use of head lamps at 2:29 a.m. July 28 at Milwaukee Avenue and Inverrary Lane.

Julian Moran, 34, of the 1300 block of 58th Court, Cicero, was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of liquor by a driver, driving without a license, driving without insurance and speeding at 2:23 p.m. July 27 at Milwaukee Avenue and Busch Parkway.

LOST PROPERTY

A resident reported he lost his driver’s license sometime between July 26-27.

PHONE HARASSMENT

A resident reported that he received several telephone calls from someone who claimed to be a debt collector at 8 a.m. July 26. The complainant terminated the call. The incoming numbers were disconnected on call back.

A complainant reported receiving several text messages from a former employee between July 26-28. Officers contacted the former employee and explained the contact needed to stop. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Several fences, a signal box and a gas meter were discovered spray painted with graffiti between 11:30 a.m. July 25 and 8:30 a.m. July 26 at the Metra train station. 

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/VEHICLE 

A resident reported an unknown male visitor approached his neighbor’s garage door at 10:20 p.m. July 27 on the 100 block of Fabish. The visitor stated he was looking for friends, then left. Officers responded and checked the area but could locate the visitor.

A resident of the 200 block of Willow Parkway reported July 26 seeing an unfamiliar gray vehicle in the area over the past few days stopping by mailboxes. The vehicle was not in the area at the time of the call, and resident will advise police if it returns. 

THEFT

A taxi driver reported driving three passengers from Chicago to Buffalo Grove. When they arrived at 4:21 a.m. July 28 on the 2700 block of North Main Street, they ran out of the taxi and left the area without paying. 

OTHER INCIDENTS

A resident reported that someone placed a hold on his mail without his knowledge on July 23.
