Police Blotter: Text Message Dispute, Identity Theft

FOUND PROPERTY

A citizen reported finding two .22 caliber shells at 9:20 a.m. June 12 in a parking lot on the 1200 block of North Barclay. The shells were prepared for destruction.

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident reported someone opened a credit card account using their personal information on June 12.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident of the 900 block of Pine Tree Circle reported hearing loud noises coming from the upstairs unit at 9:51 a.m. June 13 Officers responded and attempted to make contact but received no answer. 

PHONE HARASSMENT

A business official on the 100 block of Arlington Heights Road reported receiving several text messages from an ex-employee between March 1 and June 13. Officers spoke with both people who agreed to stop all communication with each other.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A complainant reported a long scratch was made to the hood of her vehicle while it was parked June 12 in a lot on the 100 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 700 block of Dunhill reported her alarm indicated a door was open and requested that police check the residence at 11:55 a.m. June 12. Officers arrived and found everything in order.
