Police Blotter: Sex Offenders Checked for Compliance

The following information was supplied by the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

ALCOHOL

A resident of the 100 block of North Buffalo Grove Road reported a woman was having difficulty parking her vehicle at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 29. An officer located the car with the woman passed out in the front seat. The officer was able to get the subject’s attention and have her go inside to her apartment. The car was not running and the keys were not in the ignition.

An investigator visited all registered sex offenders in the community between Dec. 14 and Dec. 28 to verify compliance with statutes. All were in compliance.

MISSING PERSON

A resident reported that her husband, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, left the house Dec. 28 and did not return. Outside agencies were notified and were requested for assistance in the search. The husband was located by Buffalo Grove Park District employees and he was returned home. Information for the Care Track and other assistance programs was furnished to the family.

A Lake County deputy requested assistance in searching for a person who left a residence in Long Grove after a physical altercation on Dec. 28. The person was located on Lake-Cook Road and turned over to the deputy.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

A resident of the 400 block of Raphael Avenue reported Dec. 28 that someone knocked on his front door four times and each time he checked, no one was there. The area was checked with negative results.

THEFT

A company official on the 1300 block of Busch Parkway reported that someone took company checks from a closed account and attempted to cash three of them in Chicago between Dec. 14 and Dec. 16. Two were declined and one was cashed. Chicago police are following up.
