Police Blotter: Road Rage, Vehicle Vandalism

COMPLAINT

A driver reported being confronted by an irate driver, who in return claimed to have been aggravated by the other driver’s actions at 4:40 p.m. May 31 at the intersection of Buffalo Grove and Half Day roads. Police contacted both drivers. 

PHONE HARASSMENT

A resident of the 600 block of Golfview Terrace reported that he received several telephone calls May 31 and June 1 from someone who claimed that he owed a company money, and that he needed to pay it immediately. The company was contacted and a representative advised that they have received several complaints and have filed a report with the FBI. Complainant was advised of precautionary measures to take.   

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident reported that people damaged her vehicle while moving an appliance from the home at noon May 31 on the 1400 block of Larchmont Drive. An agreement was made to have the vehicle repaired by the people who caused the damage.     

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

Police received a report of a possible burglary of an occupied house at 3:35 p.m. May 31 on the 1100 block of Twisted Oak Lane. Officers confirmed that the person at the home had authorization to be there.    

VANDALISM

A citizen reported that someone placed a substance in his vehicle’s exhaust pipe while it was parked in the Riverwalk parking garage between 9:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 31. The substance was removed, and no damage was observed.
