Police Blotter: Purse Found in Restaurant

CITIZEN ASSIST

A complainant stated that she dropped off some rings at a jewelry store on the 700 block of South Buffalo Grove Road and that when she went to pick up the rings, she found the store closed. The store has been closed for a couple of weeks. An officer contacted the owner, who stated that he has been ill and unable to go to the store, but he assured the officer that his wife would be there the next day to assist the complainant.

A purse was found at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 30 in . Efforts to obtain a phone number for the owner were unsuccessful. The purse was placed into property at the police station.

A resident turned in a black Trapper Keeper that he found at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at Heatherdown Way and Brandywyn Lane. A desk officer located a phone number for the owner, contacted him and he stated he would pick up the item.
