Police Blotter: Port-O-Potty Filled With Water

BURGLARY
Someone entered a detached garage on the 400 block of Lauren Lane and removed a Schwinn Voyager bicycle and a navigation system from the car parked inside between 11 p.m. June 22 and 8 a.m. June 23. There were no signs of forced entry.
COMPLAINT
An officer responded to a report of four youths inline skating and smoking at 7:05 p.m. June 23 in the parking lot of . An officer found the four youths and one admitted to smoking. His remaining cigarette was confiscated and his mother was called.

DRUGS
Philip C. Stavropoulos, 28, of the 3800 block of Rutgers Lane, Northbrook, was charged with possession of marijuana and disobeying a traffic control device at 3:40 p.m. June 23 on southbound Buffalo Grove Road at Old Checker Road.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT/PHONE CALLS

A resident of the 500 block of Highland Grove Drive returned home at 6 p.m. June 23 to find the deadbolt to his front door locked and his bedroom door closed. The resident stated that he did not lock the bolt and was sure the bedroom door was left open. Officers checked the interior and found no one inside and nothing disturbed. Another family member may have locked the bolt.
A resident received a phone call June 23 from a male who identified himself as an associate of the resident’s doctor. The subject then attempted to obtain personal information from the resident, and the resident hung up. A call to the doctor’s office confirmed that no one from the office called her. The resident was given *57 instructions.
THEFT
A complainant stated that she left her purse inside a limousine and went inside at 10 p.m. June 18. When she returned home, she discovered that her wallet was missing from the purse.
VANDALISM
A supervisor for the crew working at reported that someone moved scaffolding and filled a portable toilet with water between 3 p.m. June 22 and 6:15 a.m. June 23.
