A resident told police that when her son’s ex-girlfriend returned a jacket to him on Sept. 28, disparaging comments were written on it.The ex-girlfriend said her mother wrote the remarks, which the mother denied.
A resident of the 1100 block of Johnson Drive reported that someone made deep scratch marks on the front passenger door, bumper and trunk of his 2009 Porsche between Aug. 24 and Sept. 30.
A resident reported that her debit card was lost or stolen on Aug. 20 and a number of unauthorized charges showed up on the statement. The resident believes that an acquaintance, who had been at the house, took the card out of her purse. One of the unauthorized charges was made in the town where the acquaintance lives. The bank will follow up.
A resident reported that her son’s iPhone was taken from his locker during school hours Oct. 1 at Cooper Middle School. The locker was secured with a combination lock.
A resident of the 1100 block Thompson Boulevard reported that someone took $4,5000 in jewelry and its ceramic container from her dresser between Sept. 1-26. During that time, a maid service and painting contractor had access to the home. The resident found the jar and its contents gone. There was a maid service in the home and a painting contractor. An officer will follow up.
Gregory R. Frehr, 25, of the 100 block of Cady Drive, Palatine, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a battery charge at 11:25 p.m. Oct. 2 on Arlington Heights Road at Strathmore Court
A resident reported that a woman placed garbage into the dumpster at Willow Stream Park at 5:20 p.m. Oct. 2. The offender confirmed to police that she has been placing her garbage into the dumpsters for some time, and said she will stop.
