Police Blotter: Patient Leaves Hospital, Cars Delivered to Wrong Address

ALARM

Officers responded to an active alarm at 3:10 p.m. July 31 on Green Knolls Drive and found the rear door open. The interior was checked and found to be in order. An officer contacted the homeowner, who responded to reset the alarm.

A resident told police that his roommate was intoxicated and being very loud at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 1. The roommate departed with her boyfriend prior to officer’s arrival.

A resident reported that a driver failed to yield and turned left in front of the resident at 6:30 p.m. July 31 at Brandywyn Lane and Kingsbridge Way. When the resident honked his horn, the teenaged driver gave the middle finger. The driver then attempted to block the resident from driving further. The officer located the driver and his mother. The events were discussed and mom stated that she would make some changes to her son’s ability to use the car. The teen driver apologized. 

A landlord reported July 31 that he sent a certified letter to his tenant stating that he would show the house to other potential renters that evening. The tenant denied him entry. The tenant stated that she did not receive a letter and no one can come into the house. The landlord did not have a receipt for the certified letter. He will pursue eviction. 

MISSING PERSON

A resident reported at 6:30 a.m. July 31 that he received a call from Northwest Community Hospital that his father disconnected himself from his heart monitor, took his clothes and left. The hospital was checked but the man was not found. Officers checked the man’s house and did not find him there. A dispatch was aired and Arlington Heights police found the man walking on Arlington Heights Road. He was returned to the hospital. 

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident received an email July 31 from a person claiming to be a friend. The email stated that the friend was in Glasgow, Scotland, and in need of money because her passport, luggage and telephone were stolen. The resident believed this to be a scam and wanted it documented. 

A resident reported that he left his home on the 300 block of Satinwood Court North at 1 p.m. July 31, and when he returned at 4 p.m., he found two vehicles parked in his driveway. The resident checked with the neighbors but none owned the cars. One neighbor stated that a car transport dropped the cars off earlier in the day. After numerous inquiries, an officer contacted the owner who stated that she was moving into a neighboring home and the transport company dropped the cars off in the wrong driveway. The owner was half an hour away. 

WARRANT 

Julia Timchenko, 22, of the 800 block of Weidner Road, Buffalo Grove, was arrested on a warrant for parole violation at 7:15 a.m. July 31 on the 800 block of Weidner Road.
