A taxi driver reported that a customer failed to pay for a $20 ride to an address in Buffalo Grove on Sept. 15.

OTHER INCIDENTS

A resident reported that he believes his caregiver has been using his debit card to purchase gasoline. The resident's efforts to contact the caregiver have been unsuccessful. Two of the transactions took place in Florida the last in Washington.

Buffalo Grove's postmaster reported Sept. 16 that a subject was at the facility attempting to cash a fraudulent USPS money order. An officer spoke with the subject who stated that she was mailed the money order as payment for her services as a secret shopper. The subject had several other money orders in her possession. The USPS Postal Inspector will follow up.

A resident reported that her two children were battered by an older juvenile while they were at Emmerich Park on Sept. 16. The resident went to the juvenile's house to speak with his parents but no one was at home. A juvenile officer will follow up.

A woman reported Sept. 16 that she had been at a bar earlier in the evening where a subject attempted to engage her in conversation. She told the subject she was not interested. The subject then followed her and her friends to another bar and started talking about guns. Officers located the subject who stated that he did not have a gun and he agreed to leave.
