Police Blotter: Man Reports Borrowed Car Missing

LOST/FOUND PROPERTY

A resident reported he lost his wallet at an unknown location. Officers provided him with a lost driver’s license form to obtain a new license.

Officers found a pink, girls Huffy bicycle at 7:03 p.m. Aug. 19 in the Spray n’ Play parking lot. The bicycle was entered into the lost bike log and will be maintained at the police department for safekeeping. 

A resident reported his vehicle missing at 12:05 a.m. Aug. 21. Officers responded and learned that a family member used the vehicle and left the resident a note. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident of the 600 block of Maple reported a deep scratch in the paint of the driver’s side door of her vehicle at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 20. The resident said her landscapers may have accidentally caused the damage. 

A complainant reported Aug. 21 that someone had used black spray paint on a business sign on the 100 block of South Buffalo Grove Road.
