Police Blotter: Man Charged with Defacing Grocery Store Bathroom

BURGLAR ALARM
Officers responded to a burglar alarm and located an open door at 12:14 a.m. Aug. 8 on the 1200 block of Barclay. The interior was checked and it was determined nothing was disturbed. The door was then secured.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
A complainant reported damage to his vehicle that was parked in a lot between July 26 and Aug. 2 on the 1600 block of Johnson Drive. Police said they saw a scrape on the front bumper.

PROPERTY DEFACEMENT
Gregorio Gonzalez, 24, of the 400 block of Merle Lane, Wheeling, was charged with three counts of criminal defacement of property at 11:09 p.m. Aug. 7 after a complaint reported a man spray-painting the inside ways of the bathroom at Jewel-Osco.

PHONE HARASSMENT
A complainant reported receiving several text messages and phone calls from an ex-boyfriend at 3:33 p.m. Aug. 8. The complainant requested documentation only.
