Police Blotter: Lost Dogs, Invitation to Fight
These were among the reports released March 9 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
ANIMALS
A resident found a small gray female Schnauzer mix near Fabish Drive and Harvest Court. The dog was taken to Kings Kennel.
A resident found a white Lhasa Apso with gray patches near Cherrywood Road and Maple Drive. The dog did not have a collar, tags or a chip. The dog was taken to Kings Kennel.
BURGLARY
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle on the 1100 block of Windbrooke Drive between 4 p.m. March 5 and 4 p.m. March 6 and removed a blue Columbia men’s jacket valued at $100.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Two 18-year-old former friends encountered each other while driving at 2:10 p.m. March 7 near Port Clinton and Buffalo Grove roads. One driver and invited the other to a fight in a nearby park. The other continued to drive to avoid a confrontation. No complaints were signed.

FIRE
A resident of the 1-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported a smoke detector going off and a strong burning odor in a neighboring unit at 1:20 p.m. March 8. Fire personnel found smoke coming from the unit and forced the door. A pot of food was found burning on the stove. The resident returned while the unit was being ventilated.
