Police Blotter: Long Grass Irritates Neighbor

ANIMALS

A complainant reported her dog was bit by another dog at 5:29 p.m. Aug. 1 on the 100 block of Manchester. Officers explained dog bite procedures to the owner. 

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident reported July 31 someone opened a credit card in his name. Officers provided information on what steps to take. 

NOISE COMPLAINTS

A resident reported Aug. 1 a car alarm going off in the middle of the night. Officers contacted the owner, who will fix the alarm. 

A resident of the 300 block of Satinwood reported noise coming from a neighboring unit between July 28 and Aug. 1. Officers responded and spoke with the resident.

ORDINANCE VIOLATION

A resident of the 800 block of Belmar reported the grass of another property in the area was very long. Police notified the village’s building and zoning department. 

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

A resident of the 300 block of Mary Belle reported seeing a man take pictures of their home July 30. Officers recorded the information and advised the resident that it is important to contact the police at the time of the incident.
