Police Blotter: Kids Spotted On Roof

These were among the reports released May 18 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

DISPUTE

A contractor who has been working since February on a store on the 1-100 block of West Dundee Road reported May 17 that the store owner become increasingly difficult to deal with and said that last-minute changes have made it difficult for the contractor to do his work. The contractor decided to stop work on the project and wanted a report on file in case the owner expresses any concerns about work performed.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident of the 500 block of Crown Point Court reported that someone left large indentations on her 2003 PT Cruiser between May 13-17. The damage appeared to have been caused by a blunt object such as a baseball bat.

YOUTH COMPLAINTS

A resident reported that a number of youths climbed onto the roof of the concession stand at Emerich Park East at 5 p.m. May 17. An officer located the youths climbing onto the metal awning on the southeast corner of the building. The officer did not find any damage to the building and turned each youth over to their parents.

A resident reported that his neighbor’s son ran through the resident’s newly seeded yard at 5:30 p.m. May 17. Due to poor relations between the resident and the neighbor, the resident requested for officers to speak with the neighbor. An officer spoke with the neighbor, who apologized and will remind the kids to stay out of the neighbor’s yard.
