Police Blotter: Intoxicated Cyclist Taken to Hospital

ALCOHOL
Officers responded to Bernard and Navajo drives for a report of a man riding a bicycle in the middle of the street at 5:19 p.m. July 12. The person was transported to the hospital due to his high level of intoxication.
COMPLAINT
A complainant reported that stopped by an acquaintance’s house at 12:15 p.m. July 12 on Oak Creek Drive to pick up some items he left there. The acquaintance did not want him there any longer and he left without incident.
LOST ITEM
A citizen found a set of keys at 5:30 p.m. July 12 near Bernard Drive and White Pine. Officers determined the owner and the keys were returned.
PROPERTY DAMAGE

A complainant reported several long scratches were made on his vehicle which was parked on the roadway of the 500 block of Lyon Drive between July 4-7.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A complainant on Johnson Drive reported that the door to one of the units was open at 8 p.m. July 12 and the owner’s car was not in the parking lot. Officers arrived, checked the unit and found no one home. Officers left a business card and secured the unit after determining that no forced entry had occurred.

THEFT
A complainant reported that someone removed his handicap placard while his vehicle was parked in the lot and his car windows were rolled down between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 10 on the 1100 block of Lake-Cook Road.
