Police Blotter: Identity Theft; Obscene Phone Calls

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

At 4:30 p.m., Nov. 28, at 1001 Asbury Drive, someone reported that the passenger side rear window of her car was shattered.

Identity Theft

Someone in the 800 block of Checker Drive reported that some time between Nov. 4 and Nov. 29 someone made three unauthorized charges in the amount of $46.70 on her credit card. All three charges were made to Apple iTunes, and the resident does not have an iTunes account. The money has been refunded and the account closed.

 

Investigation

 

A resident in the 0 to 100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported at 9 p.m., Nov. 29, that she often smells burnt cannabis in her bedroom and in the laundry room, and believes that one of her neighbors is responsible. Officers checked the hallways and the laundry room and smelled nothing unusual.

 

Obscene Phone Calls

A resident in the 1000 block of Hobson Drive reported that at 6:20 p.m., Nov. 29, the resident received a call from a male subject who asked if the resident was interested in changing her television service. When the resident said no, the caller called the resident a whore. The resident hung up and the caller kept calling back. An officer called the number and was immediately hung up on. The officer then called customer service for the company and they stated that they would determine if the caller is one of their employees and take appropriate action.
