Police Blotter: 'Hang 10' Sign Painted on Sidewalk

A citizen reported Feb. 21 that she and numerous acquaintances are receiving unwanted contact from another person, and they wished for it to stop. The person was contacted and agreed to cease all contact with the complainant and her family and friends. 


A shaka sign was discovered painted on the sidewalk at 6:11 p.m. Feb. 21 at the intersection of Apple Hill Lane and Half Day Road. It will be removed.

Hi Xander, yes, that's where it came from. "In California, the Shaka sign may be referred to as the "chill" or "hang ten" sign- both associated with surfer culture." The sign has multiple meanings!
