Police Blotter: Girls Attempt to Smoke Marijuana

FOUND ITEM

A citizen turned in a driver’s license that she found at 11 a.m. March 5 at a gas station on the 500 block of North McHenry Road. An officer contacted the owner, who came to the station and retrieved the item.

MISSING PERSON

A resident reported that her 15-year-old son was missing from home the evening of March 5. Officers located the boy at his girlfriend’s house in Wheeling. He was transported home and turned over to his mother.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident of the 1-100 block of Willow Parkway reported that she was being kept awake by noise from her neighbor’s unit at 12:05 a.m. March 6. She said this is an ongoing problem. An officer attempted to contact the neighbor without success.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident of the 1400 block of Mill Creek Drive reported that someone egged her house and spray painted words between 8:30 p.m. March 4 and 9 a.m. March 5. The resident stated that she is having difficulty with three girls in school. The school resource officer will be notified.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

A resident reported two girls who appeared to be smoking something at 4:35 p.m. March 5. The girls told an officer that they had attempted to smoke marijuana but did not. The officer found no drugs or paraphernalia on them. Both girls were turned over to their parents.

VANDALISM

A resident of River Oaks Circle East reported that someone egged his house at 11:45 p.m. March 4.
