Police Blotter: Four DUIs, Visitor Acts Strangely

ALCOHOL

Reid N. Cool, 22, of the 5300 block of Suffield, Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol contest above the legal limit and improper parking on a roadway at 9:55 a.m. March 3 on McHenry Road at Lake-Cook Road.

Rachel A. Ryckman, 24, of the 2200 block of Shaun Drive, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and making an improper turn at 2:48 a.m. March 3 at the entrance of Villa Verde Drive.

Dianne L. Conner, 26, of the 1300 block of Hidden Lake, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit, illegal possession of alcohol, speeding and driving without insurance at 11:57 p.m. March 2 on Aptakisic Road at Prairie Road.

Amanda M. Pearson, 23, of the 1400 block of Gloria Drive, Palatine, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and illegal lane use at 11:18 p.m. March 1 on Milwaukee Avenue at Deerfield Road.

A complainant reported seeing several vehicles disregard the counter-clockwise driving pattern on Grove Drive at 6:10 p.m. March 1.

A resident of the 100 block of Timber Hill reported a neighbor’s dog barking excessively for more than a 30-minute period at 10 a.m. March 2. An officer spoke with the owner who said he would keep the dog quiet.

FOUND PROPERTY

A citizen reported finding a wallet in the roadway at 8:45 a.m. March 3 on the 600 block of Raintree. Officers contact the owner and the wallet was returned. 

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT/PERSON/VEHICLE

A resident of Villa Verde Drive reported a man came to her door, claimed to be a ComEd employee and asked her to sign some papers regarding her gas service at 3 p.m. Feb. 27. Officers advised her to call the company and verify ComEd is still her delivery company. 

A complainant reported a person who was acting strangely came into their business at 10:20 a.m. March 1 on the 300 block of West Half Day Road. Officers located the person and advised him not to return to the business. 

A resident of the 500 block of Beechwood reported footprints were left in the snow that was on her driveway between Feb. 27-28. There were no signs of any damage or anything else that was disturbed. 

A complainant reported seeing a group of teens sitting inside a parked vehicle at 4:15 p.m. March 1 on the 100 block of Oak Creek Drive. The vehicle left prior to the officer’s arrival. 

THEFT

A complainant reported someone stole her iPhone from a table while she was bowling at 1 a.m. March 3 at eSkape.
