Police Blotter: Found Wallet, Early Morning Phone Calls

The following information was supplied by the Buffalo Grove Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

An official at a company on the 1500 block of Busch Parkway reported June 6 that a client paid a $994.50 bill for services on April 20 with two checks that were returned twice from the bank for insufficient funds. An officer contacted the client who stated that she did not have the money to make restitution, but would contact the company official to make payment arrangements.

FOUND ITEM

An employee at , 770 S. Buffalo Grove Road, on June 6 turned in a black wallet that was found at the store two weeks ago. The employee had attempted to contact the owner without success. An officer was unable to obtain current contact information on the owner. The wallet was placed into property.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident of the 1-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported at 11:20 p.m. June 6 that her upstairs neighbor was making banging noises on the floor, which woke her up.  She stated that this has been an ongoing issue and she has filed many complaints with the homeowners association. An officer spoke with the neighbor, who stated that he has two sons who do make some noise. The neighbor also stated that he will be out of the unit by the end of June.

PHONE HARASSMENT

A resident reported June 6 that since October she has received phone calls between 3 and 4 a.m. on the first and 15th of every month. There is no one on the line, and it sounds as though the call is from a fax line. The resident did not have the caller’s number and she was referred to her phone provider for assistance.

WARRANTS

Jose M. Sanchez-Angeles, 33, of the 2200 block of Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a DUI and traffic offense charges at 3:25 p.m. June 6 on the 1-100 block of East Dundee Road.
