Police Blotter: Fast Food Dispute, Damaged Front Door

ALCOHOL

David L. Burke, 53, of the 100 block of Selwyn Lane, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding at 12:20 a.m. Aug. 19 at Arlington Heights and McHenry roads.

BURGLARY

A resident of the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported several items went missing from her vehicle between midnight and 8 a.m. Aug. 19. No signs of forced entry were observed on the vehicle.

DISPUTE

A customer expressed displeasure with the food he ordered at a fast food restaurant the morning of Aug. 19 on the 1500 block of Dundee Road and wanted his money back. He was refunded for his purchase, and left the premise.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

The window of a business’ truck was broken between 7 p.m. Aug. 18 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 19 on the 700 block of South Buffalo Grove Road. Nothing was reported missing. 

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT/PHONE CALL

A resident of the 100 block of Buffalo Grove Road discovered damage to the front door of their residence between 9-10:30 a.m. Aug. 19. Proper notification by the homeowner was made to have the door repaired. 

A resident reported receiving a phone call Aug. 19 from someone who asked her to turn on her computer. When questioned, the caller discontinued the call. 

THEFT

A resident of the 300 block of Cobbler reported shipped packages were taken after being left on their property on Aug. 14. The U.S. Postal Service confirmed the deliveries, and the packages went missing within 45 minutes of delivery.
