Police Blotter: Dumpster Fire, Stolen Identities

FIRE

Officers responded with the Buffalo Grove Fire Department to a dumpster fire at 5:17 p.m. July 14 on the 1200 block of Barclay Boulevard. The fire was contained and extinguished.

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident reported July 15 she received information from AT&T regarding a fraudulent account that was opened in her name. 

A resident reported receiving information from the IRS on July 15 that someone from another state used their personal information to file a tax return.

IMPROPER SECURITY

Officers discovered an open door at 2:14 a.m. July 14 at a business on the 1100 block of Weiland Road. The business was checked and secured. 

Officers discovered an open door at 3:35 a.m. July 15 at a business on the 100 block of McHenry Road. The business was checked and secured. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE 

A resident of the 100 block of University Drive reported their mailbox was damaged July 13.
