Police Blotter: DUI, DCFS, Theft
These were among the reports released April 5 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
ALCOHOL
Scott J. Napoli, 50, of the 400 block of Arbor Gate Lane, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and driving without insurance at 11:15 p.m. April 4 on westbound Lake-Cook Road at Milwaukee Avenue.
DOMESTIC
A resident called police to have a DCFS worker removed from her apartment at 4:40 p.m. April 4. An officer spoke with the DCFS worker, who stated that he was there on a routine visit to check on the 15-year-old daughter. The worker determined that the resident was intoxicated, so the daughter was to be taken to another home. The worker and the daughter left without further incident.

THEFT
Someone removed an information sign from a barricade between 4 p.m. April 1 and 7 a.m. April 4 at Buffalo Grove and Port Clinton roads.

OTHER INCIDENTS
A business manager on the 1300 block of Abbott Court reported April 4 that the company received an Internet order for $6,000 in cooling equipment. The order was paid with a credit card. Subsequently, the “ship to” address was changed. When the company checked on the credit card, it was determined that the cardholder had not authorized his card to be used.
