Police Blotter: Drunk Dialing Annoys Neighbor

ALCOHOL

A resident of the 200 block of Autumn reported receiving calls from her intoxicated neighbor at 4 a.m. May 7. Officers contacted the caller and advised him to stop.

Jack K. Gwinn, 25, of the 2200 block of Nichols, Arlington Heights, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 11:43 p.m. May 7 on Dundee Road at Vernon Lane.

Grace A. Tisdale, 45, of the 100 block of Birch, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 11:38 p.m. May 8 at Milwaukee Avenue and Busch Parkway.

ANIMALS

A resident of the 500 block of Hackberry reported that she was bitten by her dog at 4:10 p.m. May 8. Police officers and Buffalo Grove Fire Department responded and the resident was transported to the hospital. 

COMPLAINTS

A citizen reported a reckless driver at 7:20 a.m. May 8 at Weiland and Deerfield roads. Officers contacted the driver about the complaint. 

A complainant on the 100 block of Villa Verde Drive reported having difficulties with a tenant at 5 p.m. May 6. Officers provided information on the eviction process. 

A resident of the 2800 block of White Oak complained a solicitor was using high-pressure tactic at 5:18 p.m. May 9. Officers responded and reminded the solicitor to be professional and courteous. 

DISPUTE

An employee at a business on the 1300 block of West Dundee Road reported a disagreement with a customer over the testing of a car battery at 9:18 a.m. May 9. Officers arrived and two people were able to come to an agreement regarding the battery. 

DRUGS

Rafel Buzinski, 20, of the 300 block of Ivy Lane, Arlington Heights, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding at 1:03 a.m. May 9 on Milwaukee Avenue and Lake-Cook Road.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

A citizen reported an occupied vehicle parked near the playground at 5:20 p.m. May 8 on the 300 block of West Half Day Road. Officers responded but the vehicle left prior to their arrival. 

THEFT

A resident of the 600 block of Grove reported a theft from his storage locker in the basement of his condo building between April 8 and May 8. Officers found the lock had been cut and items were taken.

VANDALISM

Someone used chalk between May 8-9 to write on the exterior walls of a building on the 1-100 block of Oak Creek Drive.
