Police Blotter: Drug, Alcohol Charges
These were among the reports released March 24 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
DRUGS
Joshua J. Woolsey, 22, of the 500 block of Lyon Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:30 p.m. March 23 on Dundee Road at Crofton Lane.
Kenyia Balderas, 25, of the 200 block of George Road, Wheeling, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without lights and seat belts at 1:45 a.m. March 24 on westbound Lake-Cook Road near McHenry Road.

IMPROPER SECURITY
Officers responded to an active alarm at 2:40 a.m. March 24 and found an ajar door to a business on the 1000 block of Commerce Court. There were no footprints in the snow and no signs of forced entry. The premises were checked and found in order. A company official was notified and the door was secured.

PHONE HARASSMENT
A resident reported receiving unwanted phone calls from an acquaintance on March 23. An officer contacted the acquaintance, who understood that the calls had to stop.
THEFT
A 17-year-old Arlington Heights resident was charged with retail theft and possession of liquor by a minor after a theft prevention officer reported seeing him place a bottle of vodka in his jacket and leave Dominick’s, 770 S. Buffalo Grove Road, without paying at 6 p.m. March 23.
