Police Blotter: Dog Bite, DUIs
These were among the reports released April 7 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
ALCOHOL
Danielle M. Standford, 32, of the 400 block of Bernard Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, speeding, and having no outside mirrors at 12:05 a.m. April 7 at eastbound Dundee Road at Arlington Heights Road.
Daniel L. Tegmeyer, 23, of the 400 block of Arbor Gate Lane, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 3:10 a.m. April 7 on westbound Lake-Cook Road east of Hastings Drive.
ANIMALS
A resident stated that he was jogging at 7 p.m. April 6 near Deerfield Parkway and Weiland Road when he approached a woman walking two dogs. As he passed, one of the dogs bit him in the thigh. The resident did not obtain any information on the woman and could only describe the dog as black with white markings and about 20 inches high.

IMPROPER SECURITY
A resident reported that the front door to his neighbor’s house was standing open, and that the neighbor was not at home at 9 p.m. April 6. Officers checked inside the house and found everything in order. They contacted the owner to advise him of the situation and then closed and locked the door.
