Police Blotter: Clogged Dryer Vent Suspected in Fire
These were among the reports released Dec. 14 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
FIRE
Officers assisted firefighters who responded to a report of smoke in a home at 11:20 p.m. Dec. 13 on the 400 block of St. Mary's Parkway. Fire personnel extinguished the fire, which may have been caused by a clogged dryer vent. After the house was ventilated, the residents were allowed back inside.
BURGLARY

Someone broke the front window of a vehicle and removed the navigation system and a CD/MP3 player between Dec. 11-13 at Prestige Auto, 88 E. Dundee Road.
ALCOHOL
A 14-year-old Buffalo Grove resident and two Wheeling residents, ages 14 and 15, were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor at a home in Buffalo Grove. Police did not release further details about the incident.
