Police Blotter: Cars Burglarized, Ditch Overflows

BURGLARY

A resident of the 1-100 block of Thompson Court reported that someone entered two unlocked cars in the driveway between midnight and 4 a.m. April 30. One car was gone through, but nothing was reported missing. Taken from the second car were a navigation system, a shopping bag containing merchandise valued at $50, and a shopping bag containing merchandise valued at $175. Also taken were three phone chargers and the charger for the navigation system.

A resident reported that a company was draining a swimming pool into the storm water drainage ditch in front of homes at 9:20 a.m. May 1 on the 2700 block of Acacia Terrace. The ditch was backing up causing water to run over. An officer spoke with the contractor, who said that he had nowhere else to drain the water. The backup was caused by a plugged up culvert. The culvert was unplugged and water flowed. No damage was observed.

A resident turned in a driver’s license found May 1 near Oak Creek Drive. An officer went to the residence on the driver’s license, but no one was at home. A message was left on voicemail that the license was at the .

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 1100 block of Mill Creek Drive reported that when she returned from a walk at 9:30 a.m. May 1, she found the outer pane to the patio door shattered. Officers were unable to determine any cause for the damage.

WELL-BEING CHECK

A mother called to report that her adult son left a message May 1 that stated he was leaving forever and never coming back. She requested officers check on him. Officers spoke with the son, who was cooperative and answered questions appropriately. He stated he had no intention of hurting himself and was on the way to be with a friend.
