Police Blotter: Car Engulfed in Flames, Stolen Golf Clubs

ANIMALS

A citizen reported finding a stray black Chihuahua walking on the sidewalk on Weiland Road at Pauline. Officers transported the dog to the police station. A short time later, the owner called and retrieved the dog. 

A complainant reported a barking dog at 7 a.m. Aug. 4 on the 2400 block of Waterbury. Officers contacted the owner and the dog was brought inside.

BURGLARY 

Someone broke the passenger side window to a vehicle that was parked on a driveway on the 100 block of Fox Hill between Aug. 1-2.

A complainant reported several golf clubs went missing from a unlocked vehicle on the 500 block of Springside between Aug. 3-4.

DISPUTE

A complainant on the 900 block of Lake-Cook Road reported a customer was yelling at him at 12:26 a.m. Aug. 2. The customer left prior to officers’ arrival. 

FIRE

Police responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle that was engulfed in flames at 12:24 p.m. Aug. 2 on the 100 block of Weidner Road. The Buffalo Grove Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire was unknown.

FOUND PROPERTY

Officers found a black backpack at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 3 in the roadway on the 2400 block of Madiera. The backpack did not contain any personal information. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A driver reported damage to a car tire after driving through construction at 1 p.m. Aug. 1 at Prague and Marquette.

THEFT

A complainant reported the theft of her cell phone Aug. 1 while at work on the 1200 block of Barclay. It was unknown exactly when or where the theft took place. 

A complainant reported a group of customers left after eating without paying for their food at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 3 on the 500 block of McHenry Road. Officers checked the area but did not locate the customers. 

WARRANT

Hubert W. Krzesinski, 23, of the 800 block of Boxwood, Buffalo Grove, was arrested on a warrant for criminal trespassing at 3:39 p.m. Aug. 3 on the 600 block of Golfview.
