Police Blotter: Car Burglarized, Healing Crystals Stolen

BATTERY

Gabriela A. Carrillo, 33, of the 200 block of Armstrong Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with domestic battery at 7:15 Nov. 19.

BURGLARY

While on patrol at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in a parking lot on the 300 block of North McHenry Road, an officer noted a car with its right rear door ajar and fresh damage to the right rear bumper and quarter panel. The officer located the owner of the vehicle who stated that she had locked the doors and there was no damage to her car when she parked it. A bag full of body healing crystals valued at $375 was missing from the back of the car.

WELL-BEING CHECK

A grandson reported Nov. 20 that he was concerned for his grandmother. He was unable to reach her and she missed a 10 a.m. doctor’s appointment. Officers found a car in the driveway, the house locked and the blinds drawn. Officers made entry into the home and found no one inside. Officers later received a phone call from the woman’s son who stated that his mother was with a friend and that she was OK.
