Police Blotter: Broken Windshield, Missing Jewelry

COMPLAINTS

A complainant reported loud people outside on a patio at 2 a.m. Feb. 23 on the 2700 block of Main Street. Officers arrived and found everything quiet. 

A resident of the 0-100 block of Villa Verde Drive reported hearing loud noises from a neighbor’s unit at 9:40 p.m. Feb. 23. Officers checked the area and all was quiet.

DISPUTE

A resident reported having a disagreement over the quality of work performed by a contractor at 9:41 a.m. Feb. 24 on the 400 block of Bernard Drive. The relationship between the two was discontinued.

FIRE

Police and firefighters responded to a report of a small oven fire at noon Feb. 22 on the 800 block of Weidner Road. The fire department quickly extinguished the fire.

LOST/FOUND PROPERTY

A citizen brought to the police station at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 a set of Toyota keys were found at the train station parking lot. 

A citizen reported that he lost a wallet at 9 a.m. Feb. 23 on the 400 block of Claret Drive.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A citizen reported that her rear windshield was broken by an unknown object between 1-6 a.m. Feb. 24 while parked in the driveway on the 1400 block of Brandywyn Lane.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLES

A citizen reported Feb. 22 that that a vehicle frequently parks on the 500 block of Parkview and that they believed the vehicle did not belong to a resident. Officers contacted the owner, who was a friend of a resident. The owner was advised to park the vehicle somewhere else. 

A citizen reported a suspicious vehicle parked at 10 p.m. Feb. 22 in the clubhouse parking lot near Fremont and Farnsworth. Officers contacted the owner and were advised the vehicle broke down and that it would be towed from the area. 

THEFT

A resident of the 800 block of Dorncliff reported that two items of jewelry went missing between Jan. 19 and Feb. 23.

A resident reported Feb. 23 that someone opened a credit card account and a department store account in his name. The complainant was given information as how to check his credit reports.
