Police Blotter: Bathroom Vandalized, Drunk Cab Passenger

These were among the reports released May 4 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

ABANDONED/SUSPICIOUS VEHICLES

A resident reported May 2 that a black 1998 Nissan Sentra with a rear flat tire has been parked on the 100 block of Glendale Road since April 12. Phone numbers for the registered owner were both disconnected. A pre-tow notice was mailed to the registered owner, and if he does not respond, the vehicle will be towed on May 10.

A resident reported a dark gray Dodge Charger driven by a male white subject, 30 to 40 years of age with dark short hair, who was following her at 10:45 p.m. May 3 on the 100 block of Fox Hill Drive. The resident drove through her neighborhood and the car continued to follow her until she pulled into the police station parking lot and the car took off.  The area was checked with negative results. The car had an out-of-state license plate, from Massachusetts.

A resident reported two vehicles were seen parked at several locations around Armstrong Drive and Armstrong Court at 4:30 p.m. May 3. An officer located one of the vehicles and the driver stated that he was distributing coupons for a pizza restaurant and the other car was doing so also. The driver had a stack of coupons in his hand.

ALCOHOL

Police assisted paramedics, who were called by a cab driver who reported that his intoxicated passenger fell onto a driveway and passed out at 9 p.m. May 3. The passenger was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.

DISPUTE

An official at a business on the 1000 block of Commerce Court reported May 3 that two employees got into a heated argument. When the official attempted to intervene, one of the employees got into the official’s face. When the official ordered the employees to leave the premises, one refused. When the official dialed 911, both employees left. Human resources will follow up.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident of the 1-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported at 7 a.m. May 3 that his upstairs neighbor often walks heavily and makes noise at all hours, disturbing him.  The resident has reported this to the homeowner’s association, which requested a police report. The association will follow up.

THEFT

A resident reported that someone made three unauthorized withdrawals from her account in the amount of $803 between May 1-2. The transactions took place in California. The credit union will follow up.

Someone unlocked a storage yard gate and removed fiber optic cable from the outside of a fenced yard at a business between April 19 and May 3 on the 1300 block of Abbott Court.

VANDALISM

An official at a store on the 100 block of North McHenry Road reported that someone plugged the toilet, placed feces on the floor and wrote on the walls with feces between 4:30-7:30 p.m. May 2.
