Police Blotter: Abandoned Bike, DUI Charges

ALCOHOL

Gary Brauback, 52, of the 4000 block of Greenwood, Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and following too closely at 11:05 p.m. April 12 on eastbound Dundee Road east of Buffalo Grove Road.

Marcos T. Reys-Menendez, 24, of the 400 block of Circle Hill, Arlington Heights, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and illegal transportation of alcohol at 6:44 p.m. April 9 at Emmerich Park West.

ANIMALS

A complainant reported a dog running through a parking lot between 10:45-11:21 a.m. April on the 0-100 block of Dundee Road. A community service officer caught the dog, which was reunited with its owner later that day. 

ARRESTS

Michael V. Jacobi, 27, of the 4000 Block of Grasselli St., East Chicago, was arrested on a warrant at 1:08 p.m. April 13 on Dundee Road. 

Jeffrey S. McCombs, 37, of the 600 block of Happfield, Buffalo Grove, was arrested on a warrant at 3:39 p.m. April 10 on Beechwood.

LOST/FOUND PROPERTY

A resident reported the morning of April 12 that his front license plate was missing. He was provided with a police report number. 

A bicycle was found lying on the side of the road the morning of April 13 near Milwaukee Avenue and Riverwalk Drive. It was brought to the police department and placed into evidence. 

NOISE COMPLAINT

Officers responded to a complaint of loud noise at 2:12 a.m. April 14 on the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive. All was quiet upon their departure.  

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident of the 600 block of Bernard Drive reported at 11:40 p.m. April 9 that someone broke the light bulb to an exterior wall mounted light fixture. 

THEFT

A driver left a gas station on the 1-100 block of West Lake-Cook Road at 10:40 a.m. April 12 without paying for gas. Vehicle information was provided to police, who were unable to reach the driver.
