Police Blotter: $444 in Charges Appear on Victim's Card

THEFT

A resident reported that someone used her credit card information on May 8 to make four unauthorized transactions in Wheeling and Palatine totaling $444.02. The resident still has the credit card in her possession.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident reported May 20 that someone sent an email to her and her daughter with an attached photograph of her recently deceased husband. The email was sent via the resident’s AOL account and the officer suggested that the resident change her password.

VANDALISM

A complainant reported that his ex-girlfriend damaged his car at 9 p.m. May 21 on the 1100 block of West Lake-Cook Road. An officer was unable to find any evidence to support the claim and officers could not locate the ex-girlfriend in the area.
