Police Blotter: 3 DUIs, Drivers Argue Over Parking Space

ALCOHOL

Kirill Obraztsov ,20, of the 500 block of Manda, Wheeling, was charged with driving under the influence and driving too fast for conditions at 5:01 a.m. March 22 at the intersection of Buffalo Grove and Dundee roads.

Russell T. O’Conner, 33, of the 300 block ot 12th Street, Wheeling, was charged with driving under the influence, driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance at 4:55 p.m. March 24 at Lake-Cook and Hastings roads.

Conner J. Moore, 24, of the 100 block of Foxtrail, Lincolnshire, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and illegal lane use at 1:06 a.m. March 23 on Lake-Cook Road near Weiland Road.

ANIMALS

Officers responded to a report of a stray dog at 1:53 p.m. March 24 on the 1300 block of Westchester. They caught the small, tan dog and transported it to Kings Kennel. 

BURGLARY

Officers responded to a residential alarm at 8:10 p.m. March 23 on the 2000 block of Sheridan and found the front door had been forced open. Nothing inside appeared to have been disturbed. 

COMPLAINT

A resident of the 700 block of Grove reported excessive noise coming from a neighbor’s home at 11:09 p.m. March 22. Officers contacted the neighbor who agreed to keep the noise down. 

DISPUTE

A complainant reported having a disagreement with his former employer at 1 p.m. March 21 on the 300 block of Dundee Road. The two exchanged words prior to the complainant’s departure. 

A complainant advised he had an argument with another person at 2:50 p.m. March 22 over a parking spot on the 400 block of Half Day Road.

DRUGS

Michael A. Wrzek, 24, of the 300 block of Cherry Valley Road, Vernon Hills, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:59 a.m. March 24 on Aptakisic Road near Buffalo Grove Road.

FIRE

A resident of the 100 block of Willow reported a small fire in their microwave at 4:04 p.m. March 22. The Buffalo Grove Fire Department responded and the fire was extinguished. 

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

A resident of the 1000 block of Cambridge reported an unknown vehicle parked in front of their home at 9:47 p.m. March 23. Officers responded but the vehicle was gone prior to their arrival. 

THEFT

A resident reported March 22 that her wallet had been stolen and her credit card was used. The resident was given information on contacting her bank and the credit bureau. 

A resident reported an unauthorized transaction on her credit card on March 23. The resident said the card was then canceled.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A vehicle’s front passenger window was broken by an unknown person March 23 on the 600 block of Deerfield Parkway.
