Police Blotter: $21,000 Stolen from Checking Account

BATTERY

Daniel C. Feezor, 34, of the 1000 block of Kingsbridge Drive, Wheeling, was arrested on a warrant for five counts of domestic battery at 9:25 p.m. Sept. 29 at a business on the 300 block of McHenry Road.

An official at reported at 12:25 a.m. Sept. 30 that there was a woman in the store who has been suspected of retail theft in the past and is not welcome in the store. Officers spoke with the subject, informed her that she was not welcome at the store and she left.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A new tenant requested Sept. 29 that officers document damage to the house caused by the former tenant who was being evicted by Cook County sheriff deputies.

A resident of the 1100 block of West Thompson Boulevard reported finding two dimples in the rear hatch of his vehicle between Sept. 23 and Sept. 28. An officer observed that the dimples are consistent with damage caused by a BB or pellet gun.

THEFT

A company official reported Sept. 29 that a customer ordered merchandise and all of the credit cards that the customer offered were declined. The customer finally offered a credit card that was accepted and she received a confirmation number. The official later received notification that the cost was charged back to her because the card used was stolen. The credit company will not honor the charge because the official shipped the merchandise to another address other than the one on the card.

A complainant reported that someone made about $21,400 in unauthorized withdrawals from her checking account between July 11 and Sept. 6. One withdrawal for $503 took place in Buffalo Grove. Additional withdrawals took place in Oakbrook, Skokie, New York, Wisconsin, Wheeling, Palatine and Westmont. The Chicago FBI field office is investigating some of the transactions. The card has been canceled.

A waitress at reported that a customer ordered food in the amount of $16.55 and left without paying. Officers checked the area with negative results.
