Police: Adult Struck, Killed by Train in Buffalo Grove
The Nov. 22 incident is under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
An adult who was struck by an unknown train was found dead Friday morning near the Buffalo Grove Metra Station, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The sheriff’s department is overseeing the investigation of the death. Officers were notified of a body lying on the train tracks south of Deerfield Parkway around 8 a.m., according to a press release.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

“We don’t know at this point if it’s a suicide or not. It’s under investigation,” Lake County Sgt. Sara Balmes said.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office will provide the identity of the deceased victim pending proper notification.
