Lake County Police Schedule DUI, Seat Belt Enforcement

Long Grove and Deer Park will be among the areas targeted this month.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with IDOT, Illinois State Police and nearly 250 local law enforcement agencies to crack down on seat belt law violators now through Thanksgiving weekend. 

More than 700 safety belt enforcement zones will be conducted across Illinois during this high visibility enforcement campaign period. More than half of them will be conducted during night-time hours, when belt use is typically at its lowest.

  • Nov. 20, 11:15 p.m.-1:15 a.m. at Route 12 and Lake-Cook Road in Deer Park
  • Nov. 21, 7:15-9:15 a.m. at Old McHenry Road and Route 22 in Long Grove  

In addition to the seatbelt enforcement zones, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting roving DUI patrols between 11 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 21, 23, 27 and 29. Scheduled patrols include the Long Grove area on Nov. 29.
