Credit Cards Stolen From Vehicle, Stray Dog Found

Identity Theft

A woman reported receiving a Facebook message stating she won some money. She was given directions on how to obtain the money and then realized this was a scam. It occurred on Nov. 7 in the 300 Riverwalk area. The woman was given information on contacting the credit bureau to check her credit report.

Burglary to Vehicle

A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole credit cards and a drivers license. This occurred between Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 in the area of 400 Lauren. 

Repossession

A complainant reported a successful repossession of a vehicle on Nov. 9 in the 1000 block of Miller. 

Stray Dog 

A complainant reported finding a stray dog near their house on Nov. 9 in the 1900 block of Sheridan. Officers arrived and brought the dog back to the police department where it was eventually picked up by the owner. 

Arrests 

Tanya A. Noah, 20, of the 700 block of Constitution in Palatine. She was charged with driving on a suspended license, having no insurance and speeding. She was stopped on Nov. 7 near Bernard and Timber Hill.

Note from the police department: Residents are reminded to lock their car doors each night. Officers continue to get car burglaries involving unlocked vehicles. Residents should remove items of value from plain view and lock their doors.
