Hit-and-Run Driver Flees Scene, Then Crashes Into Police Car

Arlington Heights police responded to a hit-and-run accident Sunday in the 100 block of E. Algonquin Road. The driver who initially hit a car returned to the scene and crashed into a police car, the Arlington Cardinal reports.

A hit-and-run driver committed two offenses Sunday, first hitting a vehicle near Mitsuwa Marketplace, and then crashing into an Arlington Heights police car, according to the Arlington Cardinal

The initial offense occurred at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of E. Algonquin Road, the Arlington Cardinal reported.

When the suspect driver returned to the scene, he hit a police car from Arlington Heights that was reponding to the crash. One person was sent to the hospital.
