Crime Alert: Five Vehicles Burglarized

Six unlocked vehicles were entered, five burglarized in Arlington Heights Sunday night.

In just one night, about $1,000 worth of goods and a handful of cash was stolen from vehicles parked in Arlington Heights.

According to police, the burglar or burglars targeted unlocked vehicles in the village Sunday night. Between 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 and 6 a.m. Monday, Oct 22, six unlocked vehicles were entered and five were burglarized.

1. Two fishing poles, each valued at $100 and a and a tackle box containing lures, valued at $100 were stolen from an unlocked 2006 Chevy Trailblazer at the 1100 block of N. Beverly Lane.

2. A Garmin GPS, valued at $150 and $2 in change stolen from an unlocked BMW at the 1100 block of N. Hickory Avenue.

3. Set of six work keys taken from the glove box of an unlocked Chevy Tahoe at the 2300 block of E. Miner Street.

4. $30 in cash taken out of an unlocked 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix at the 600 block of S. Kaspar Avenue. An unlocked 2012 Buick Lacrosse was also entered and searched through at that location but nothing was taken.

5. Black Kenneth Cole briefcase, valued at $180, containing a black 30GB IPod, valued at $300, a personal checkbook and computer accessories, valued at $150, were stolen from an unlocked 2001 Buick Park Avenue at the 700 block of S. Kaspar Avenue.
