Buffalo Grove Police Bust 10 Teens and One Adult for Underage Drinking Party

Gathering was held in the 1400 block of Oxford Drive Sunday night; one minor also was charged with cannabis possession.

Ten teenagers were arrested Sunday night, along with the homeowner in the 1400 block of Oxford Drive where an underage drinking party was held.

Teens from Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, Long Grove, Kenilworth and Libertyville were busted by police after reports of a loud party
and possible underage drinking, according to a press release from the Buffalo Grove police department.

Four Buffalo Grove residents; 18-year-old Austyn J. Byk, Sophia Boyko, 18, and 17-year-old and 15-year-old juveniles were arrested for unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Eighteen-year-olld Allyssa M Bahena and Cassandra R. Mora, both of Vernon Hills were charged with the same.

Also arrested for possession and consumption of alcohol were Timothy E. Garrity, 18, of Long Grove, 19-year-old Talya M. Boz of Kenilworth, in addition to a 17-year-old juvenile from Libertyville.

The 17-year-old juvenile from Buffalo Grove also was charged with possession of cannabis, the press release said.

The owner of the home at 1465 Oxford Drive, Suzanne M. Coventry, was charged with a Social Hosting charge for allowing her home to be used for the party.

All of those arrested were released on personal recognizance, and a court date at the Lake County Branch Court in Mundelein was set for July 13.
